2021 brings exciting changes for I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR with the appointment of Keitumetse Lekaba as its Head of Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD).
Following the successful implementation of a unique Supplier Development Programme for Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) in 2020, and the subsequent renewal of that programme, I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is setting out to cement its position as a preferred partner for multinationals who want to impact meaningful growth and improvement in the SMMEs in their value chain.
"We focus our development of entrepreneurs on imparting the critical business skills that enable the small business owners who are already supplying into large corporates, with the ability to manage, lead and build their businesses well and then steadily and successfully scale them,” says Andile Khumalo, Founder of I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR.
“Keitu joining and heading up our ESD division bolsters our offering as she brings a tremendous amount of experience to help us continue building programmes that are credible, measurable, sustainable and, most importantly, impactful,” adds Khumalo.
Keitumetse has extensive training and experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Tax, SMME Development and Business Coaching, ESD strategy and BBBEE Advisory.
Speaking on her appointment, Lekaba says it is an honour and privilege to be joining the I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR team. “SMME Development and implementing strategies that achieve and drive measurable impact is my passion, this is the perfect ground to serve and introduce innovations that have long-lasting change for small businesses,” she says.
Often when it comes to ESD programmes, small suppliers are given one or two small contracts, mandates are ticked and then they no longer exist. I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is driven in its purpose to change this narrative in the ESD space and to continue growing as a leading institution that truly up-skills entrepreneurs.
